The Musée Unterlinden is opened !

We are delighted to welcome you back to the museum. To make this possible, we have implemented all the necessary health measures for you to enjoy spending some time at the Musée Unterlinden.
Before you set out, remember your mask (compulsory from the age of 11) and your headphones if you want to use the audioguide. You can download a plan of the museum HERE

What are the arrangements for visiting?

For its reopening, the Musée Unterlinden is applying the government measures for social distancing and regular disinfection of common-use surfaces (handrails, handles, lift buttons, toilets, benches, reception desks, etc.).

Masks must be worn by everyone aged 11 or older. If you choose to take the audioguide, we recommend that you bring your own headphones.

Social distancing must be respected, but those visiting in groups of family or friends may obviously stay together. Hand sanitiser is provided for visitors at the entrance and as they make their way around the museum.
The cloakroom is not in use.

Are all the rooms in the museum accessible?

Yes! The whole museum is open, as well as the temporary exhibition “By Hands and Eyes – Michel Paysant” and the exhibition “Colmar, Dream City”.

Which tours can I take?

The “Masterpieces” audioguide tour
With our audioguide, you can see, hear and understand the works in our collections spanning from archaeology to modern art.
You can choose this option when you buy your ticket online. Remember to bring your headphones! Audioguides can also be hired in the museum, and the equipment is disinfected while you watch. Price | Admission to the museum and a €2 supplement for the audioguide

Do I need to book?

No, you do not need to book your visit in advance. However, to ensure peace of mind, visitor numbers have been reduced and access flows are regulated. A maximum of 200 visitors are permitted at one time. Visitor numbers are also limited in the rooms housing our masterpieces: the Isenheim Altarpiece room, the underground gallery beneath the Petite Maison (Claude Monet’s Valley of the Creuse) and the Guernica room.
We recommend that you buy your ticket onlineAt the museum, please try to pay by card for your ticket.
