Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956) was an all-encompassing artist, one of the most emblematic figures of the Russian avant-garde. He was the leading light of the
constructivist movement in Moscow and abandoned painting to produce functional objects of benefit to society. He explored every field of art, becoming one of the
trailblazers of design, graphic art and photography from the early 1920s and exhibiting at events including the International Exhibition of Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris (1925).

With the help of around one hundred works illustrating this period, the exhibition presents the full breadth of Rodchenko’s output and his innovations in the fields of painting, sculpture, drawing, design, advertising and photography.
