The Société Schongauer is an association of volunteers that has run the Musée Unterlinden since it opened to the public in 1853. It approves and finances the different projects proposed by the curators: acquisitions and gifts, exhibitions, restorations and outreach and interpretation activities. It contributes to the expansion of the collections and the development of the museum.
