GUIDE TO MUSEUM VISITS
// Can I visit the museum with my class?
- To discover the museum, an ideal place of reference, allowing students to encounter works of art in all aspects of their physical reality (format, colours, materials, thickness, to name a few).
- To carry out a specific project (in relation to a particular section of the curriculum).
// What forms of assistance are available to structure the visit?
- Visitor information sheets, provided in each of the galleries, describing the works presented
- Gallery adventures organised by the museum
- Guided tours organised by the Office of Tourism
- Audioguides.
// What can I do to prepare for the visit?
- Obtain a free pass giving access to the museum for the teacher available upon request by telephoning our Educational Resources personnel
- Refer to the guides to gallery adventures that may be downloaded on the museum’s Web site
- Use the educational packets to plan your visits
- Enlist the assistance of a guide lecturer on the topic of your choice

// What can I do after the visit??
- Activities suggested in the educational packets may be used to draw on the museum experience in class.
// How can I register?
- By e-mail, fax or postal mail, indicating your personal contact information, that of your institution, the number of students, the level of the class, as well as the time and date of your desired visit(s).
- If you would like to make use of a gallery adventure, please also telephone the museum admissions desk to register your class.
// How long should the visit last?
- One and a half hours is the ideal amount of time, or less for young children.
// Are there any specific regulations?
- The teacher and other accompanying adults must make certain that the students do not touch any of the works of art and that they respect the premises, do not hinder the circulation of other visitors in the galleries and observe proper behaviour within the group (no running, no shouting), during the visit.

// What are the admission fees??
- Admission to the museum is free of charge for children under 12 and for all students of the Académie de Strasbourg (primary, secondary and university students).
The museum’s Educational Resources department is supervised by four art teachers appointed by the Rectorat to develop educational materials and to communicate with teachers and educational districts about the museum’s activities.This department’s objective is to enable teachers to visit the museum independently with their class.
The museum’s Educational Resources staff will be pleased to answer any specific questions you may have.
